Congratulations!

Exciting News!

The fiancé has officially begun teaching Statistics at his alma mater, Azusa Pacific University! So proud of him! Above is the card I made to congratulate him on the occasion. And I finally found a use for that star stamp in my Fun & Fast Notes stamp set from Stampin' Up!

Congratulations, Professor!

For My ODS Graduate

Daniel just graduated from a five week officer training program with the U.S. Navy. And I couldn't be prouder of my man! I was able to travel to RhodeIsland for the occasion and see him all decked out in his uniform (photos to follow). Below is the card I made him for the occasion, with a navy blue sailboat, of course!

To make: Night of Navy, Whisper White, Kraft, Twine String

Graduation Time!

I love June. It's warm out, but not too warm (I can wear dresses AND cardigans!). School is almost out. Community pools are now heated. And someone is always graduating! So far this year, I've been to 2 college graduations and will celebrate 2 high school graduations. The card below was made to congratulate Tyler, Jon, Kristin, and Tatiana. Congrats, Graduates!

Happy Anni'fish'ary

I know. Lame title. So Daniel took me to Yosemite over Spring Break. It was absolutely gorgeous! Naturally, I gave him a card. He's amazing and I like to remind him of that sometimes. (It was also our half-year anniversary about a week ago.) So I wanted to make fish with heart shaped lips about to kiss and that turned into heart shaped fins, heart shaped tails, and even heart shaped bubbles! I know. It's Valentine's Day all over again! I still think it's cute, though.

To Make: Layer Kraft, Real Red, Baja Breeze, and White cardstock. Use a 1 1/2" circle punch to cut two fish. Use a small heart shaped punch to punch hearts (5 Real Red, 5 Kraft, 2 Baja Breeze). Use a hole punch to punch 2 White eyes and a small hole punch to punch 2 brown eyes. Glue everything down!

I hope you all enjoyed your Spring Breaks! Happy crafting!

Girly Giraffe

I mentioned in my last post that I have a baby card and clothes addiction... Here's why! I purchased the baby clothes below. Super cute, right?! Then I made the baby card to match. Even cuter, right?! (There are polka dotted ruffles on the butt of the onesie.)

So Miss Kindergarten thinks I should start selling these baby cards (or any others for that matter). What do you all think? Do I finally start selling my crafty creations? Etsy shop? I would love to hear your thoughts (please comment below).

Yellow Giraffe

I love baby clothes! I may actually have an addiction to baby clothes... Is it bad that I have to walk through the baby clothes section of Target EVERY time I go and squeal at EVERY cute outfit I see?

Good news! I have friends and coworkers who are pregnant, so I can fullfil my need to purchase baby clothes and make incredibly cute cards to match! YAY! Below is the latest product of my baby cards and clothes addiction...

See?!?! Who wouldn't squeal at the sight of a grey striped sleeper with a yellow polka dotted giraffe! And the card to match?!?! Why more people don't share my addiction, I am not quite sure!

Baby Onesie Card

As much as I love making cards, I love buying baby clothes even more... I mean, seriously... Who DOESN'T squeal when they see cute little outfits with polka-dots, duckies, teddy bears, elephants, and hearts?!?! (I definitely squealed as I wrote that, too.) Below is a baby card I made, cute like a onesie. So cute, right?!

Happy New Baby

I get so excited when other people have babies. I get to buy cute onesies, make cute cards, and ooh and aah at how cute he or she is... Then when there's a stinky diaper or a face full of tears, I hand him or her back. Below is the cute baby card I made for my coworker, Shannon. Of course, the card matches the cute green and pink polka-dotted onesies I bought for baby.

Happy crafting, ya'll!

Bride To Be

My cousin is engaged! Congratulations, Deirdra! I am so excited for her! She's going to make such a beautiful bride. She grew up in Alaska, but goes to school in Idaho. She met her fiance, Greg, at school in Idaho, but he's from Alaska, too. How crazy is that?!?! Meant to be, I guess.

To Make: Real Red (cardstock, Stampin' Write Pen), Bashful Blue (cardstock, Stampin' Write Pen), Chocolate Chip (cardstock, Stampin' Write pen), Rose Red (Stampin' Write Pen), Certainly Celery (Stampin' Write Pen). The letters b, r, d, e were cut using my Opposites Attract Cricut cartridge.

Weddings

So I got to dress up and play "bridesmaid" last weekend as one of my good friends, Heather, got married! YAY! As wedding plans and preparations were being made, of course I jumped at the chance to help make anything I could... Below are the products I got to help create. I worked with Heather to design and put together the Escort Cards and Wedding Favor Tags. Heather's Grandma baked all the cookies that were given as favors... for almost 200 guests! Needless to say, I had a lot of fun and am overjoyed that I got to be a part of her special day. Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Honeybear! Happy crafting!

Baby Elephant

How stinking cute is this card? Patterned paper, ribbon, and a pink elephant... super easy and super cute! I used my Zoobaloo Cricut cartridge for the elephant, but had to cut off the party hat and present. This card is for a friend's baby shower today... I can't wait until Baby Lorelai comes so she can wear the cute outfits I got her! Is it bad that my favorite store is a baby clothes store? Happy crafting!

Cute as a Button

I found this card in one of my many idea books... totally cute, right? Choose any baby-appropriate background and find a two-hole button to match. That's it. Use tacky glue to adhere the button to the paper and make sure some of the glue sort of overflows up through the holes. Once the glue dries, use a sharpie to color in the glue-filled holes (eyes), as well as draw a little curly-cue and smile. Again, that's it. Happy crafting!

Graduation Cards

I thought maybe I would keep with the theme of yesterdays post and share a couple graduation cards... This first one is from last year, but I did remake some '10 ones this year... I just gave them all away. I used my Cricut to cut out the graduation cap, as well as the numbers. Super easy. And the second would be the one I made for the boyfriend, because he's apparently more special than everyone else. I cut everything by hand with no help from any of the usual gadgets. Again, super easy. And happy crafting!
