Another set for the church's silent auction fundraiser... I figured it was finally time to break out my more religious stamp set. It doesn't get much use, but it's pretty!
All is Well: chocolate chip, certainly celery, blue bayou, very vanilla
Refuge and Strength: very vanilla, so saffron, blue bayou, baja blue, chocolate chip
Precious Gift: very vanilla, baja blue, really rust, kraft, chocolate chip
Assurance: chocolate chip, certainly celery, really rust, so saffron, very vanilla

A Little Birdie Told Me
I made another set of cards for my church's silent auction fundraiser, but I won't lie, I'm not super happy with them... They might be too cutesy given the population of bidders. Hmmm...
All four cards were made on kraft cardstock and used chocolate chip stamp color:
Weather: rose red, so saffron, chocolate chip
Celebrate: tangerine tango, certainly celery, so saffron
Good News: certainly celery, so saffron, tangerine tango
Birthday: rose red, blue bayou, certainly celery

Season of Friendship
For our first Christmas together, Daniel gave me this Season of Friendship stamp set from Stampin Up. This was back in 2008 and I still use it all the time. It's definitely one of my favorites! Below is a set that I made as a donation to my church's silent auction fundraiser. I have quite a few more sets to make in order to complete the assortment for the basket, but I think I'm off to a good start!
For Fall: more mustard, chocolate chip, really rust, very vanilla
For Winter: real red, chocolate chip, kraft, whisper white
For Spring: baja blue, chocolate chip, very vanilla, wild wasabi
For Summer: certainly celery, chocolate chip, whisper white, rose red

Botanical Blooms
This card was made with my Botanical Blooms stamp set for Elizabeth (Daniel's aunt).
I especially love the return address labels I made to match this one.

Greeting Card Gift Sets
I hope you all had a Very Merry Christmas! Each year, I make sets of cards for the aunts and moms in my life (my aunt and mom, as well as Daniel's grandma and mom). This year I included Daniel's aunt on the list, as well. And in addition to the usual set of cards with envelopes, I created return address labels to match the cards... I'm slowly, but surely using more digital means to complete my crafts... SLOWLY! I'm pretty happy with how they turned out.
I used my Awash with Flowers stamp set to create these for my Aunt Toogie.

And here is the return address label I created to match the card set. And here is the tutorial I used to figure out how the heck to upload the label for you, compliments of my BFF, Miss Kindergarten.

It's Official. Daniel has been sworn into the U.S. NAVY! I couldn't be more excited and proud!
Congratulations, Daniel!

Stampin' Up! Party
Below are the cards I made with Andrea and Jan...
How cute are the dress and tux hearts?!?!
And of course I had to make one of my owls cross-eyed... Too Cute!
Jan had the coolest machine. It could do both die cuts and embossing! I love the swirls on the envelope. We used that same machine to make the petals and the polka dots on the other two cards.
We had such a good time. Thanks again, Jan! Happy crafting!

Hearts
Another baby card... I made this card to coordinate with a couple of outfits my mom bought for a friend's granddaughter. The green background, brown trim, and row of three hearts matches one onesie. And the off-white with colorful hearts matches a second onesie. There was a third onesie, but I figured I had enough going on already! Super cute, super coordinated... Happy crafting!

Back to School
I absolutely LOVE the first day of school! I have so much fun attempting to pronounce my students' names correctly (I didn't do so well the first day) and watching them interact with all the friends they haven't seen all summer. I think I laughed more on the first day of school than all summer combined... it's funny remembering how obnoxious I was as a student! So, in the theme of back to school, I chose to post a card with apples. I made this card forever-ago for the boyfriend's mom, Jan... she might love apples more than I do... might. I found patterned apple paper at JoAnn's and stacked it on top of two different shades of kraft cardstock. I then used a twine bow to top it off. Ta da! Happy crafting!

Beach Scene
Today is the last day of summer... And I am SO EXCITED for school to start! You see, I get REALLY bored by the end of the summer. Maybe I should consider year-round school? Below is a card that I believe I made last summer for the boyfriend's grandma... I used actual sand paper, but it was a nightmare to glue. The shells were cut using my Stretch Your Imagination Cricut cartridge and the birds and sky were just drawn by hand. I hope you're enjoying the last of your summer! Happy crafting!

Inspired by Nature
So it's after midnight and I'm still awake. I'm pretty sure this is at least the 3rd night in a row that I haven't been able to fall asleep (I am NOT a night owl!). Since it's now officially tomorrow (or today?) I will post. And I will post about one of my favorite stamp sets (seriously? they're pretty much ALL my favorites!). I absolutely love my Inspired by Nature stamp set from Stampin Up! because it's so stinking simple! And I LOVE simple! It's also pretty versitile... the first two were for the boyfriend, the next two were for my aunts, and the last one I made for my mom... needless to say they all loved them! Happy crafting and hopefully, happy sleeping!

Hello
For my very first blog post, "Hello" seems to say it all...

I made this card quite some time ago, but still smile everytime I look at it. It's just so playful! I made it for the boyfriend, Daniel Jamal, who I'm sure you'll be hearing plenty about. In fact, the majority of the cards I make are for him and he deserves them because he's fabulous and he's been humoring the itch I've had to share all my girly cards and crafts... but now I have a blog, so he's off the hook. Well, probably not.
So if you're reading this, I welcome you to my blog... I'm super excited to be able to share all the cards I make, as well as the other crafts I find myself getting into. Oh happy crafting!
