While in a craft store today I asked my BFF Hadar, a kindergarten teacher, what she uses to hold her student sticks... she laughed as she shared with me the ugly truth... plastic science vials! I could not believe my ears. (Yes, I am a science teacher, but I'll take cute over science any day of the week!) We then headed for the ribbon isle where she picked out a pretty seafoam green ribbon with white polka dots. When I got home, I got to work...
Now Hadar has cute cans to hold her student sticks! I actually made two cans considering Hadar teaches kingergarten and therefore has two separate groups of kids, Early Birds and Later Gators. I kind of wish I had a before and after picture. Happy crafting!

ReplyDeleteDid you use a glue gun to get it to hold onto the jar? Maybe I should use a glass jar for this? What do you think?

ReplyDeleteI did use a hot glue gun to hold the ribbon. And I used an aluminum can, but really, any cylinder will do. Glad you all like it!
